To keep the students updated during the University Student Elections period, the Heraldo Filipino introduced Halalan in February 2002, which became the official newsletter of DLSU-D for the University Student Elections. Featuring election news, editorials, feature articles and more, Halalan helps the Lasallian community to be more aware of the candidates and the political parties in the University and to serve as a platform to share their sentiments on student service and politics.
Since 2017, together with the rise of the modern technology, Halalan is now set online to reach a wider number of audience and create a more convenient, easy-access election news for the Lasallian community.
