As confirmed by the Student Commission on Election (SCE), the upcoming 2017 University Student Elections’ Certificate of Candidacy (COC) giving and filing, together with the campaign period, is scheduled to take place on March and April, respectively.
According to the released memorandum, SCE will provide the COCs upon the student’s request on March 10, which must then be filed from March 20 to 24.
Following the 2016 Amended Student Election Code of DLSU-D (E-Code) Article VII, Section 3, aspiring candidates must also personally submit the required supporting documents together with their COCs.
The aspiring candidates are also advised to have their requirements arranged in ring bind with the color of their political party (with the exception of Independent candidates who must submit a clear ring bind) sealed in a long brown envelope.
The proclamation of candidates will then follow as scheduled on March 25, the day after the COC filing.
Subsequently, the proclaimed candidates will be allowed to campaign during class days between April 17 to 29 and May 2 to 6.
As of press time, the detailed schedule including the election period and release of election results are yet to follow.
